Demons exposed (Part 1)
The Lord showed me something very interesting out of Acts 16:16-18 (And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.). This scripture always bothered me because the demonic spirit was speaking the truth. Why was Paul grieved?, why was the demon speaking truth?, what was the motive? These are the questions I asked the Lord but I never got an answer until this week.
The reason is this; the demonic spirit was speaking the truth with the goal of getting close to Paul. It wanted Paul to put his guard down and allow this young woman with the demonic spirit to join them. From this point on the demon would have done what demons love to do and destroy the ministry from the inside out. This is why it is so important for us to have discernment in these times. People with demonic spirits whether they know it our not, will use this strategy to infiltrate groups like Churches, prayer meetings etc…Just because someone speaks into your life does not mean they are speaking from the Holy Spirit! We always have to look to God and ask him for confirmation. The bible teaches us to do this in 1 Corinthians 14:29 ( Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.)
Satan and his army is trying to stop what God is about to do. Jesus is raising people up in his body to expose the works of Satan. Understanding Satan’s ways was a standard in the early church. (Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV) Satan has worked very hard to make the body of Christ ignorant. One of Mustard Trees callings is to expose Satan’s agenda. Please take this message before the Lord and share it as the Holy Spirits leads.
